Emily Rex is a singer from Sydney, New South Wales and current contestant on The Voice.
At age 25, Emily Rex is looking to take her career to the next level. She points to the successful careers of Adele, Sia and Jessie J for inspiration and has strong vocal sensibilities which can be traced back to a childhood spent singing and learning harmonies on the Pacific island of Niue.
Emily currently performs with her husband in a duo called ‘Vintage Season’. The song writing pair have recently recorded an album and perform at regular gigs and weddings playing a blend of jazz, R’n’B, pop and folk. One of eight siblings, Emily also sings as a means to stay connected with her culture and family.
Emily auditioned for The Voice with a performance of "Pure Imagination" by Michael Feinstein featured in the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She amazed three of the judges with her voice and eventually chose Will to be her coach.
